The first conferences for the construction headquarters of the Jinan airport economic zone and world-class high-tech industrial park were held in Jinan, Shandong province on Nov 16, 2018.
They included reports on the working plan of the zone and information about the park. One proposal is to build the zone into an area with "one city, two ports, three zones and four systems."
The one city refers to a modern aviation city. The two ports stand for a modern aviation port and an international logistics port, the three zones include an international logistics park, a comprehensive bonded free zone and Sino-Germany cooperation zone, and the four systems focus on modern international logistics, smart equipment manufacturing, aviation maintenance and international trade.
The Jinan Innovation Zone, one of the first national high-tech industrial development zones, has rolled out a three-year Plan (2019-21) for a world-class high-tech industrial park. According to the plan, the innovation zone will further develop its comprehensive strength, industry structure and innovation ability. The zone will also seek breakthroughs in construction of enterprise clusters, creation of an entrepreneurship ecosystem and international cooperation. It aims to serve as a powerful engine for Jinan's development and rank among the top 10 national high-tech zones by 2021 with an industrial scale topping 1 trillion yuan.
The innovation zone will focus on key government works to accelerate conversion of new and old kinetic energy. The airport economic zone, as a key part of pilot areas of new and old kinetic energy conversion, will be committed to building the international inland port and modern aviation city.
Moreover, the innovation zone is encouraged to grasp new opportunities, strive for the goal of building a world-class high-tech industrial park and take the lead in Jinan and Shandong.
The zone is also required to set up and optimize working headquarter mechanisms, unify arrangements, specify the people in charge and their responsibilities, advance communication and collaboration, give priority to key tasks and strengthen enforcement, to lay a solid foundation for the construction of the airport economic zone and a world-class high-tech industrial park.
Government officials have pledged full support to implement the plan and contribute to the zone and city's quality development.
Wang Bozhi, vice-chairmen of Jinan municipal committee of the CPPCC, deputy secretary-general Yang Yongbin, and officials of related departments including the Jinan Development and Reform Commission, the Economic and Information Technology Committee, the Science & Technology Bureau, the Investment Promotion Bureau, the Urban Planning Bureau and the management committee of the Jinan Innovation Zone, attended the conferences.
