Jinan, capital city of Shandong province, played host to the 2018 China Intelligent Manufacturing International Conference & 13th China, on Nov 2.

The event was held in support of the strategy of "Made in China 2025" to promote the development of the intelligent manufacturing industry and drive the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. This was the fourth time Jinan has arranged a conference on intelligent manufacturing.

More than 500 participants were attracted to the conference's in-depth discussions on how to boost the development of intelligent manufacturing industries. Participants were experts from universities and research institutes, such as Peking University and the Harbin Institute of Technology, as well as representatives from well-known enterprises like 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH and China North Industries Group Corporation Limited.

The conference was jointly sponsored by the Jinan municipal government, the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and the National Intelligent Robots Innovation Alliance.
