Jiyang Guzi yanko dance

Jiyang guzi yanko dance is a popular folk dance among people, especially in the areas along the Tuhai River in Shandong's Jiyang county. In guzi yanko each dancer takes one of four roles – Umbrella, Drum, Stick, Flower – which are named after the props the dancer holds. They dance to Chinese folk music. There are dozens of formations like danjin danchu, shiliuhua and riyuezhuan, mainly in circles or squares. It has two forms of performance – jietongzi and aochangzi–and has developed three schools in Liuhe village in Renfeng town, Licun village in Qudi town and Sijia village in Renfeng town.
