Foreign journalists take a spring tour through Jinan
Foreign journalists from 12 overseas media agencies pose for a group photo in Baotu Spring Park in Jinan, capital of Shandong province, Sept 9. Located in the city center, Baotu Spring Park was built in 1956 and covers 10.5 hectares. The spring gushes out from an underground karst cave, releasing 70,000 cubic meters of water daily. Water gushes out of three tiger head stone carvings at Black Tiger Spring in Jinan, Shandong province, Sept 9. The spring pool at Black Tiger Spring is made from stone and is 17 meters wide and 3 meters deep. There are three tiger head stone carvings on the southern wall. Foreign journalists explored Jinan's Daming Lake by boat on Sept 9. Covering an area of 58 hectares, the national 5A attraction is formed by numerous springs in the city. The water is clear, and the trees, lotus, pavilions and terraces make for a pleasant atmosphere. It was listed among the "top springs lake in China" by the China World Record Association in 2009.
