A group of foreign journalists visited a traditional handicraft workshop at Baihuazhou Historical and Cultural Block in Jinan, East China's Shandong province on Sept 9, to learn about Jinan shadow puppetry.

Visitors had a good time trying out the traditional Chinese art form for themselves under the guidance of Li Juan, a fifth-generation practitioner of the craft.

Jinan's shadow puppets are part of Shandong's tradition of shadow puppetry, which has a history of 500 years.
