Jier Machine-Tool Group is a State-owned company founded in 1937. It's a leading producer for forging and pressing equipment and heavy duty metal-cutting machines in China. It's one of the top three CNC punching machine manufacturers in the world. It has a 1.01 million-square-meter area and more than 5,000 employees.
Major products of the company include the CNC punching machine, CNC gold-cutting machine, automation equipment, foundry machinery and CNC cutting equipment. They are used in fields such as automobiles, aerospace, energy, rail traffic and ships. Its large CNC punching machine occupies 85 percent of the market share in China and is sold to more 60 countries and regions.
More than 600 of the company's products were first of their kind in China, which supported the development of major industries of the country. The company was titled "prominent contributor of major technical equipment" and has been listed in the top 100 companies in the Chinese mechanical industry for 10 years.
Its machine-tool equipment produced about 80 percent of all automobile outer panels in China. In 2017, China's first large, domestically designed and built passenger jetliner C919 completed its first test flight, marking a historical breakthrough in China's aviation industry. Jier Machine-Tool's large five-axis linkage CNC punching machine supported the processing of key parts of the airplane.
The company focuses on the R&D of high-end technology based on self owned intellectual property. It cooperates with leading auto brands such as General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Fiat, Chrysler, Honda and Volvo.
Its equipment has also been exported to North America and Southeast Asia and won recognition with carmakers in Germany, the United States, Japan and France. In 2011, Jier Machine-Tool got an order from Ford to provide press lines in Ford's two factories in the US. It means Chinese machine tool companies have entered the international high-end market and can compete globally. In 2017, the company got another order from automaker Nissan to produce the high-speed press lines in its US factory. Before that, Nissan mainly used Japanese equipment. Jier Machine-Tool has received orders from Nissan North America, Nissan Kyushu and Peugeot Citroen from France for large press lines. It also has 24 projects in 13 countries, which shows its global influence as a Chinese brand.
