Despite the cold weather, a photography exhibition near the Daming Lake attracted many Jinan citizens on Nov 29.

The two-day exhibition showcases the achievements that Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, has made in transportation development in the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) period.

From 2016 to the end of this year, Jinan renovated and expanded 273.1 kilometers of expressways.

The construction of tunnels and bridges across rivers have been picking up pace over the year, with four already completed, six under construction and four in the pipeline. The number of these projects is expected to reach 22.

"Jinan's traffic network has developed quickly, which is beyond my expectations. I give a thumbs-up to the city's transportation improvements," said a visitor named Liu Chenguang at the exhibition.

Liu added that he is looking forward to the planned metro line projects.
