Stalls and shops along commercial and snack streets in Jinan have regained popularity among residents as the city's nighttime economy sees a rapid recovery.

"We are now receiving up to 120 tables of customers per day, and our turnover is reaching more than 40,000 yuan ($5,634.43) per day thanks in part to the actions of the local government," Zhang Yonggang, a vendor at the Huanlian Night Market, told local media.

The Huanlian Night Market is one of the most popular night markets in the city. It provides nearly 5,000 jobs, and receives up to 20,000 to 30,000 visitors per day.

Jinan has implemented regular epidemic prevention and control and revived its nighttime areas through supportive measures. It is now receiving more than 400,000 tourists every day.

According to officials, the government has been supervising vendors and providing optimized bus services for locals in an effort to boost the nighttime economy.

To further stimulate consumption, the local government plans to focus on developing seven nighttime economic IP brands involving snack streets, commercial areas, and cultural entertainment areas.
