Jinan, East China's Shandong province, plans to build a traditional Chinese medicine center in the city's eastern section, according to a news conference on July 7.

The center will focus on cutting-edge traditional Chinese medicine and intelligent healthcare industries.

Relying on the city's rich industrial resources, the center will develop high-end research institutions and promote the planting of medicinal materials and trade in related fields.

Supported by internet technology, it will explore new ways to develop healthcare for elderly people and promote the modern healthcare industry.

The center starts from Gangxi Road in the west and stretches to Nanweizi Mountain in the east, Jingshi East Road in the north, and Panlong Mountain in the south.
