Construction on the main structure of the Fenghuang Yellow River Bridge finished on Jan 31 and it will open to traffic by the end of this year, local media reported.

It is the world's longest spanning three-tower self-anchored suspension bridge and the widest bridge to cross the Yellow River, with a width of 61.7 meters.

The bridge was built in accordance with two-way eight-lane highway standards and is designed to support a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. It will help alleviate traffic congestion, expand urban development space, and promote the transformation of old growth drivers into new ones.
