Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, has entered its wheat harvest season. The city's planting areas have harvested 135,000 mu (9,000 hectares) of wheat on June 7, with 2,076 sets of wheat-reaping harvesters put into use.

The wheat planting area in Jinan was 3.29 million mu in 2021. Jinan is expected to plant 3.55 million mu of corn, while 242,000 mu has been sown and 4,033 sets of corn seeder have been put into use.
