Jinan's first wax museum unveiled
Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, opened its first wax museum – Weimukaila – at the "Impression Jinan Spring World" commercial block on Aug 8.
The design of the museum is based on Jinan's Jiaoji Railway Station. The roof is designed to look like the head of an old steam train while the ticket office features a large arched window.
The 5,000-square-meter museum has 16 themed exhibition areas which showcase more than 100 wax figures of famous people including film stars, scholars, and scientists.
The museum also has entertainment areas for traditional kite making, hanfu experience and traditional Shandong snacks.
Visitors can enjoy a discounted price of 66 yuan ($10.18) per person (original price is 128 yuan per person) when they buy their tickets via the official WeChat account (ID: gh_8fcc594a12cb) from Aug 8 to 13.
