Pingyin county in Jinan, Shandong province established friendly exchange ties with Kozarmisleny, Hungary, via a video conference held on Sept 17.

The move will help deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two places in economy, trade, culture, education, and urban construction, officials said.

Kozarmisleny, a town in Baranya county, Hungary, has a long history and is known for its industrial and commerce industries. The town is just 20 kilometers away from Villani, Hungary's most famous wine production region.

Jinan has in recent years made great efforts to expand its ties with foreign cities and play an active part in China-CEEC cooperation.

The cooperation between Jinan and Hungary has become closer over the years.

Jinan city has cooperation ties with Hungary's Pest county, Szolnok county, Pécs city and Eger city in the fields of sewage treatment and biological medicine.
