Unbeknownst to many, Jinan is a fairly popular location for skiing in China that offers not one or two but six ski resorts. Here are the resorts and what they offer.

1. Jinxiang Mountain Ski Resort

The Jinxiang Mountain Ski Resort has a skiing area measuring 100,000 square meters and has primary and intermediate, and advanced ski tracks. Its main track is more than 600 meters long.

The resort has daytime and nighttime sessions. The daytime opening hours is from 8:30 to 17:00, while the nighttime opening hours is from 15:00 to 21:00.

2. Jiuding Tower Ski Resort

The Jiuding Tower Ski Resort has advanced tracks for experienced skiers, among which the longest measures 300 meters long. The deepest gradient offered is 24 degrees.

Visitors will also get to visit attractions such as the Jiuding Tower Scenic Area and experience staying in Mongolian yurt-style accommodation.

3. Wohu Mountain Ski Resort

The Wohu Mountain Ski Resort is located in the southern mountainous area in Jinan, 13 kilometers away from the downtown area. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the resort boasts picturesque scenery.

The Wolong Mountain Ski Resort has a skiing area measuring more than 100,000 square meters, with primary and intermediate, and advanced ski areas catered to skiers of different levels. It also has training areas, snow entertainment areas, and skiing equipment rental.

4. Panlong Mountain Ski Resort

The Panlong Mountain Ski Resort has primary and intermediate ski tracks with advanced facilities and high-quality snow. The ski resort upgraded its ski equipment and expanded its skiing area this winter.

5. Xueye Ski Resort

The Xueye Ski Resort has a skiing area measuring more than 80,000 square meters, and can hold 4,000 people. It is one of the largest outdoor ice and snow sports bases in Shandong province.

The resort has three primary, intermediate, and advanced skiing tracks that measure more than 800 meters and uses advanced snowmaking equipment and snowfield amusement equipment to provide skiers with an ideal skiing experience. It also has professional skiing coach teams to help novices learn the sport.

6. Xiangcao Park Ski Resort

The Xiangcao Park Ski Resort located at Jinan Ziyuan Xiangcao Park features snow-playing activities for families. It is a gentle skiing track which is available for children to safely play in the snow. Children can also experience dog-sledding, ride in snowmobiles and stay in Mongolian yurt-style homes.
