Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, is creating favorable international education, medical, and living environment for foreign nationals.

The Jinan Thomas International School in Licheng district, Jinan, provides a first-class learning experience, a high-quality curriculum and courses that integrate Chinese and Western characteristics to educate foreign children in Jinan.

"The curriculum here is in line with the international education system, which helps children adapt to the new learning environment in China after arriving from abroad," said Vincent Beauvais, a parent from France. The school has an international curriculum system and a number of foreign teaching staff members. Nearly 90 percent of the teachers in the school are foreigners or have experience teaching abroad.

In addition to the international curriculum, traditional Chinese culture is also a compulsory course for students. Special Chinese courses involving traditional festivals, local customs and traditions help students better understand China.

Jinan also provides favorable healthcare services for expats. For example, The Jinan International Healthcare Center in Jinan Central Hospital has signed contracts with more than 20 international insurance companies and treated more than 10,000 foreign patients from over 50 countries.

International medical care, educational services and a comfortable living environment in Jinan is attracting more and more foreigners to live and work in the city.

"Jinan is more and more international. Signs in different languages can be seen everywhere in the main streets and attractions highlighting the city's traditional culture are more popular," said Stefan Meining, a German entrepreneur, who came to Jinan in 2011. He is slowly falling in love with the city as he witnesses the fast changes in Jinan.
