Jinan Start-up Area achieves high-quality development
Since approved by the State Council on April 25, 2021, the Jinan Start-up Area of Growth Drivers Transformation has achieved fruitful results in various aspects, with economic figures such as regional gross domestic product, public budget revenue, and retail sales leading the city.
The Jinan Start-up Area of Growth Drivers Transformation has been bolstering its efforts to cultivate a high-end and high-quality industrial system in order to boost the city's high-quality development, according to Li Guoxiang, a senior official of the area, at a press conference.

The start-up area has completed its industrial development plan and offers guidance for investment attraction, project planning, and industry introduction. It has also carried out 20 policies to provide support in scientific innovation and finance to companies.
The start-up area has so far inked deals for 137 high-end projects totaling 332.32 billion yuan ($46.36 billion) in investment. There are 35 sponsored by provincial-level enterprises, 29 sponsored by significant State-owned enterprises, and 43 sponsored by Fortune Global 500 and China's top 500 companies.
The intelligent vehicle and new energy industries are two of the area's main developing industries. They represent the acceleration of the transformation of growth drivers from old to new.
For example, a new energy project signed with SPIC will demonstrate the comprehensive use of hydrogen in the Yellow River Basin and become a national hydrogen energy application demonstration highland.
The area also plans to beef up efforts to develop supportive aspects such as transportation, infrastructure, public services, and construction of industrial parks to ensure the convenience of commuting, improve people's wellbeing, and attract more talents.
In addition to economic and industrial development, the area emphasizes ecological development, aiming to be an ecological protection model in the Yellow River Basin.
