Taking a bicycle ride is a good way to enjoy the spring scenery in Jinan. Here are some recommended roads for cycling in the city.
1. Yellow River Dam
The Yellow River Dam, located in northern Jinan and close to the Yellow River, spans for more than 10 kilometers and features a leisurely route and lovely landscape, making it an ideal cycling destination. In the spring, the purple-leaf plum flowers along the road are in full bloom, creating a spectacular view.
2. Lvyou Road

3. Jingshi Road
Jingshi Road is a main road in Jinan that runs from the east to the west, connecting the districts of Zhangqiu and Changqing.
In March, more than 100 plum flower trees bloom along the route from Qianfo Mountain to Yuhan Overpass.

4. Road from Jinan Station to Daming Lake Station

5. Jiefangdong Road
If you take a ride from Erhuan East Road to Jiefangdong Road, you will be accompanied by cherry blossoms all the way. The best time to enjoy cherry blossoms is in the middle of March. The flowering period will last about a week.
6. Huanhu Road along Huashan Ecological Wetland Park
Huanhu Road along the Huashan Ecological Wetland Park has numerous picturesque sights, which boasts lakes, bridges, and roads. Riders can also visit Huayang Palace, an ancient building complex, and admire reflections of lakes and mountains from numerous pavilions in the area.
7. Road along Xiaoqing River
The 24-kilometer-long road along the Xiaoqing River stretches from Muli village in the west to the Jinan-Guangzhou Highway in the east.
The area now has six new green spaces featuring different themes, and offers visitors a perfect place for recreation, exercise, leisure, and a place to enjoy nature. It is also an ideal place for cyclists to ride along the river.
