With the "City of Springs" as its never-fading "name card", Jinan in East China's Shandong province has been going all out to develop a diverse image and has garnered many widely recognized achievements.

The following honors are just a few of Jinan's shining accolades.

Famous Software City

Jinan is well-known as a center of technology and innovation, and was named a famous software city in China by demonstrating a strong competence in the sector.

Shandong recently published the provincial list of software engineering technology centers in 2022. A total of 127 companies were listed, including 64 from Jinan, which makes up just over half of them.

National Civilized City

Jinan was awarded the title of National Civilized City in 2021, the highest honor for cities in the country. It is the fourth time that the city has won the honor.

Aiming to "build a national civilized model city at a high level", Jinan focused on "enhancing the city's soft power" by carrying out 10 various key tasks. Measures were taken to increase greenery, upgrade the cityscape, improve traffic control, and reinforce road facilities.

Culture City of East Asia

Jinan was granted the title of 2022 Culture City of East Asia at the 12th China-Japan-South Korea Cultural Ministers' Meeting in August 2021.

Since April, Jinan has held 145 themed activities to stimulate cultural exchanges and expand the city's international reputation.

Jinan was also honored as an International Garden City, China's Top 10 Cities for a Better Life, and one of the Safest Cities in the Country.
