Zhangqiu district's GDP increased from 67.87 billion yuan ($9.48 billion) in 2012 to 112.04 billion yuan in 2021, according to Ma Zhiyong, Party secretary of Zhangqiu district at a news conference held on Sept 13.
The district's general public budget rose from 3.58 billion yuan in 2012 to 7.7 billion yuan in 2021.
Adhering to the strategy of building a strong industry through innovation, the district cultivated and formed four advantageous industrial clusters, including high-end equipment manufacturing and new medicine. The number of industrial enterprises with a large scale grew to 552, and the industrial output value reached 137.4 billion yuan.
Rural vitalization was also further promoted in Zhangqiu district. The collective income of all 532 administrative villages in the district exceeded 200,000 yuan, and 58.6 percent of them exceeded 500,000 yuan.
Focusing on improving the quality of the city, the district boasts an air quality rate of 67.1 percent and a total public green space of 4,012 hectares.
The district has been spending more than 80 percent of its fiscal revenue on improving people's livelihood. The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents reached 46,329 yuan and 26,727 yuan, respectively.
