A signing ceremony for 29 projects worth 49.3 billion yuan ($6.76 billion) in investments was held in Pingyin county, Jinan, on Oct 27.

The projects are related to sectors including the real economy, new energy, urban renewal, cultural tourism, and healthcare, and will play an important role in promoting high-quality economic and social development in the county.

Pingyin county has been bolstering efforts to support high-quality projects to meet the diverse investment needs of various enterprises since the beginning of this year.

In addition, Pingyin has in recent years been optimizing its urban spatial layout and accelerating the pace of urban renewal. The expansion and upgrading of the old urban areas and the transformation and upgrading of the new urban areas have significantly improved the overall quality of the city.

Hu Weiyi, vice-chairman of People Electric Appliance Group, a top 500 company in China, said that Pingyin's good business environment was what attracted the group to establish a presence in the county.
