Lixia district in Jinan, capital of Shandong province, is striving to build a new highland for the region's innovative and economic development of its leading industries as well as its project investment and construction.

One of those key projects is in the northern zone of Jinan IFC in the city's central business district.

Covering an area of 85.78 hectares, and a total construction area of 368,000 square meters, the first phase of the project includes four office towers with a height of 100 meters to 180 meters and 11 commercial buildings. It has received a total investment of 5.23 billion yuan ($758.2 million) and is expected to open in December 2024.

Lixia provides customized development services for enterprises and carries out in-depth actions such as supporting the growth of enterprises and optimizing investment promotion services.

Another key project is the Minghu International Biopharmaceutical Production Base in the Changling high-tech zone received a total investment of 1.35 billion yuan and is expected start operations in the first half of this year.

Lixia is focused on extending the industrial chain of the biopharmaceutical industry and promoting the coordinated development of the base, the Minghu International Cell Medicine Park and the Changling High-tech Innovation Industrial Park.

To boost digital industries, the district is building the Minghu International Xinchuang Industrial Park for information technology applications and constructing digital infrastructure. The park has attracted more than 20 upstream and downstream enterprises such as Huawei, China Electronics Corporation and iFlytech.
