Tianqiao district in Jinan, the capital of East China's Shandong province, successfully organized a two-day key projects inspection activity, which concluded on July 13, local media reported.

During the event, officials highlighted the achievements made by the district in the first half of the year.

The district has been implementing various measures to promote high-quality development, and this has resulted in the effective management of 183 provincial, municipal, and district key projects, as well as 98 green, low-carbon, and high-quality development projects.

The emphasis on accelerating project development has paid off, and the district reported a 73.67 percent increase in general public budget revenue in the first six months of this year, the highest in the city.

During the event, 22 key projects related to sectors such as infrastructure, industrial development, high-end services and people's livelihood were showcased. These projects are expected to have a significant impact on the district's economic growth, job creation, and tax revenues.

Notably, the construction of Phase II of the Shandong (Jinan) Healthy Meat Pre-made Food Industrial Park, which represents an investment of 600 million yuan ($84 million), is expected to create over 1,000 job opportunities and generate an annual output value of approximately 500 million yuan.

Additionally, the Wanhong Center project of Shandong Wanhong Industrial Development Co, with an investment of 2.5 billion yuan, aims to become a new urban center for headquarters, finance, and technology. The center is expected to generate over 100 million yuan in annual tax revenue and create over 4,000 employment opportunities.

The inspection activities have not only provided a platform for mutual learning among peers but also inspired project teams to strive for excellence. The district has emphasized the importance of effective project planning, attracting targeted investments, and providing comprehensive support to foster the development of a strong, prosperous and green economy.
