Jier Machine Tool Group Co, based in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, has demonstrated an impressive ability to innovate and globalize over the course of its 87-year history.

Established in 1937, Jier has grown into China's largest maker of metal-forming equipment. It is ranked among the world's top three press makers thanks to its concentrated efforts in innovation and research and development.

Its key offerings include CNC stamping machines, CNC metal-cutting machines, automation equipment, foundry machinery, and CNC cutting equipment. These products are widely used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, rail transportation, and shipbuilding.

A single steel plate requires four steps before it can be turned into a complete vehicle – stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly. Stamping equipment plays a crucial role in the automotive industry, as 60 percent to 70 percent of auto parts are produced during stamping or metal-forming.

The company's large CNC stamping machines now dominate 90 percent of the Chinese market and are exported to 67 countries and regions. It has provided high-end automatic pressing equipment to leading global auto brands such as General Motors, Ford and Volkswagen.

With the rapid advancement of modern automotive manufacturing technologies, there is an increasing demand for greater flexibility and intelligence in punching equipment.

In response to the growth of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry, Jier is focusing on innovation, expanding into high-end markets, and pursuing collaborations with leading Chinese NEV brands such as BYD, NIO, and Li Auto.

The company has developed an automated processing and assembly production line for automotive aluminum alloy die-cast parts. This high-speed, fully automated line is specifically designed for the integrated die-cast body parts of new energy vehicles.

The company's output value exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion) in 2023.
