Jinan expo showcases grand cultural feast
The 8th China Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Expo opened on Oct 17 at the Shungeng International Exhibition Center in Jinan – capital of East China's Shandong province – featuring great exhibits that ran to Oct 21.
The expo included 497 intangible cultural heritage or ICH projects, with 175 having attained national recognition. Over 700 participants showcased the achievements of ICH conservation in the country since its accession to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage some two decades ago.
Practitioners demonstrated their exceptional skills and techniques to visitors.
The expo featured innovative designs, wide-ranging content and professional presentation methods to effectively highlight the successes of ICH initiatives and promote the principles of conservation.
