Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, hosted the inaugural Alumni Economic Investment and Talent Attraction Initiative Conference to advance alumni-related economic opportunities through collaboration between universities, governments, and enterprises.

The conference gathered 345 high-level talents, experts, and alumni entrepreneurs from 88 universities. At the conference, agreements for seven talent initiatives and 25 alumni-funded projects were signed, with a total investment of 8.13 billion yuan ($1.12 billion). These projects span key sectors such as integrated circuits, biopharmaceuticals, and intelligent manufacturing.

"Jinan will provide tailored, all-encompassing, end-to-end services for innovation and entrepreneurship, empowering alumni to thrive in Jinan," said Yang Feng, deputy Party secretary of Jinan during the event.

Wang Wei, president of the Jinan Alumni Economy Development Promotion Association, mentioned in his speech that the association is dedicated to connecting alumni, uniting them, and promoting the development of the alumni economy, and since its founding in June, it has jointly organized 30 alumni economic events and three sessions of lectures.
