Jinan adds 160,000 young talents in 2023
According to statistics, Jinan's number of young talents increased by 160,000 in 2023, including 1,521 doctoral degree holders. The city also attracted 2,112 overseas returnees and was named the "best talent-attracting city of China in 2023".
Behind these achievements were Jinan's efforts to boost the development of the city's human resources industry.
Jinan has built an interactive recruitment platform with strategic cooperation from 106 universities and 74 talent liaison stations.
The city has also built five municipal-level highly-skilled talent training bases and distinctive chief technician workstations. The numbers of its national, provincial, and municipal-level talent training institutions reached 15, 29, and 51, respectively, ranking first in the province in overall numbers.
In addition, Jinan participated in the first provincial vocational skills competition, winning 37 medals and ranking first in the province. The city has also encouraged and offered support to postdoctoral talents pursuing innovation and entrepreneurship, with three gold medals, seven silver medals, six bronze medals, and 12 honorable mentions awarded in the second China Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, leading the province in the number of awards.
Jinan has also established a high-level talent service alliance, is now home to 57 "gold card partners", and has provided 220 exclusive services, creating a favorable environment for talented individuals to work and live.
