Guide released to help qualified foreign doctors practice in Jinan
The Jinan Innovation Zone recently issued a guide to facilitate short-term medical practice by foreign physicians.
The guide offers information related to personal permits for foreigners, short-term medical practice by foreign physicians, clinic registration, related procedures, and more. It introduces an innovative one-chain service that simplifies the process for foreign physicians, enabling qualified doctors to practice in Jinan. This initiative explores a new model for high-level openness in health and medical services in Jinan.
According to the guide, individuals applying to become foreign physicians to practice in China no longer need to submit materials to different departments. Instead, they can now submit all required documents at a single service site, significantly reducing the number of visits. The number of required materials has been cut from 24 to 16, and the number of processing steps has been reduced from eight to three.
Foreign physicians with legal medical practice credentials from their home countries can be invited, employed, or apply to come to China for clinical diagnosis and treatment activities for up to one year. Extensions can be handled according to the relevant regulations.
