The flower boat parade recently made its debut in Jinan to celebrate the 2024 Jinan Festival of Springs, which kicked off on Aug 8 and will last for nearly two months. The parade routes connect several renowned attractions along the city moat such as Baotu Spring Park, Quancheng Square, and Daming Lake, allowing visitors to experience the city's charm and unique spring water culture.

As a signature event of the Jinan Festival of Springs, the parade has become of the city. The 2024 parade has been upgraded to include innovative flower boats.

The boat parade offers two routes. One route follows the city moat, starting from Black Tiger Spring and passing through Quancheng Square, Baotu Spring Park, Five Dragon Pool Park, and Daming Lake before returning to Black Tiger Spring. The entire tour takes approximately one hour and 20 minutes. The other route circles Daming Lake and lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. The two routes both have daytime and nighttime options.

Jinan, dubbed the City of Springs, is home to numerous springs, including 72 famous ones, such as Baotu Spring and Black Tiger Spring, that contribute to the wonderfully elegant and much-loved scenery distinct to the city. The Jinan Festival of Springs has become an important event for the city to promote its spring water culture.
