Quancheng Study: A cultural hub exploring poets of Song Dynasty
The Quancheng Study at Yudi Square in the Jinan Innovation Zone is Jinan's 17th Quancheng Study reading room and the first urban reading space in the country themed around "er'an culture", which refers to the poetry culture of Li Qingzhao (1084-1155) and Xin Qiji (1140-1207) - two famous poets who lived during the Song Dynasty (960-1279).
The study's interior is filled with the names and poems of historical luminaries who were either born in Jinan or who lived there or worked there at some point, including Zhao Mengfu (1254–1322), a poet and calligrapher in the late Song Dynasty, and the Tang Dynasty (618-907) poets Du Fu (712-770) and Li Bai (701-762).
In addition to offering a space for people to read and study, the study also serves as an event venue for various reading promotions and experiential handicraft events, according to Zhang Xianxian, operational manager of the study.
The study is divided into various different zones, including a reading zone, a self-study zone, an activity zone for children, and a zone for selling cultural and creative products featuring "er'an culture".
The study serves as a library and a bookstore so that readers can both read and buy books. In addition, the study is equipped with 5G internet and medical kits and umbrellas.
