The second phase of Jinan Metro Line 3 began operation on Nov 22, connecting key transportation hubs including Jinan West Railway Station, Jinan Railway Station, Jinan East Railway Station, and Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport.

This expansion enhances urban functionality, promotes regional transportation integration, and meets the public's demand for more convenient travel.

"To better meet the travel needs of residents and improve operational efficiency, Jinan Metro has implemented an operation model combining express and all-stop services," said Qi Xinfeng, deputy director of the Dispatch and Ticketing Department at Jinan Rail Transit Group.

"After 10 pm each day, express services with limited stops are offered. Four trains run from Longdong Station to Jichangnan Station, stopping at six major stations along the way," Qi added.

Jinan's metro network is currently under construction, with lines 4 and 6 nearing completion, while lines 7, 8, and 9 are advancing rapidly. Starting this year, Jinan plans to open at least one new metro line annually, aiming for a total network length of over 300 kilometers by 2027.
