Jinan Port Opening Museum launches intl exchange exhibit
The Jinan Port Opening Museum has opened a new exhibition on the city's international exchanges.
The display features 39 artifacts, including items from Finland, Spain, and Brazil, highlighting Jinan's long-standing global connections. Visitors can explore the stories behind these artifacts through interactive screens, which provide detailed information on each piece.
Jinan opened its commercial port more than 120 years ago. The museum, which began in May, presents the city's history as an open port across six exhibition areas, through photos, historical maps – including the port's boundary map – and other artifacts. Digital technology in the museum offers interactive experiences, such as a virtual ride on a steam train.
The museum also brings together time-honored brands, a spring-themed bookstore, and cultural-creative stores to create an immersive cultural space. To date, it has welcomed over 122,600 visitors and received widespread acclaim.
