The Aerospace Information Technology University, China's first institution dedicated to aerospace information, is under construction in Zhangqiu district, Jinan.

The campus, with a planned construction area of 647,000 square meters, is equipped with state-of-the-art office, teaching, research, and accommodation facilities.

The first phase of the project was completed in October 2023, and the second phase is currently underway. Once fully operational, the university will focus on aerospace, information technology, and Earth observation, while providing resources and talent to further drive Jinan's aerospace information industry.

Jinan has long supported aerospace information through favorable policies. The city has developed a complete industrial chain, spanning satellite manufacturing, rocket R&D, aircraft manufacturing, and information applications.
