A survey team conducted an in-depth investigation from Nov 21 to 23 as part of the "Explore Jinan through its waters" event, visiting Beidasha River in Xidazhang village, Changqing district, Jinan.

The inspection included field visits and discussions on local environmental and industrial developments.

Beidasha River, a key branch of the Yellow River in Jinan, spans 68 kilometers. The river has faced several challenges such as encroachment, garbage, and water quality. However, through ongoing restoration efforts, the river has seen significant improvements. The team gained valuable insights into the river's transformation.

In Xidazhang village along the Beidasha River, the team was impressed by its ecological development. By leveraging local resources, the village has established an ecological industrial park featuring aquaculture and recreational fishing, which has significantly boosted the local economy.

Discussions focused on the coordinated development along Jinan's waters, water ecology protection, and inter-village collaboration. It was emphasized that, in the future, local industries should integrate with cultural resources to foster distinctive industrial value chains.
