The Sam's Club in Jinan, a membership-only big-box chain owned by Walmart, is expected to open by the end of 2026.

Construction began in October 2024, and this September, the project is more than 70 percent complete. The main structure has passed inspection, while interior decoration and building systems installation are underway.

Located in the Jinan Innovation Zone, the store occupies 30,600 square meters, with a total floor area of 80,500 square meters. The building features two above-ground floors for retail and three basement levels for parking and support facilities.

The store will be supported by warehouses across the city center, allowing delivery to most locations within one hour.

Upon completion, the store is expected to generate employment opportunities and stimulate the development of the logistics and service sectors, propelling the regional economy.
