The new campus of the Children's Hospital Affiliated to Shandong University has recently topped out and is now in the decoration and building system installation phase.

Located in the Jinan Innovation Zone, the campus spans approximately 131,000 square meters, with a total floor area of 326,000 square meters. It is planned to include 1,000 beds and a medical complex, an infectious disease building with a fever clinic, and supporting facilities.

Seamlessly integrated into the landscape of the Juye River, the campus' architecture is designed to resemble a raised sail, symbolizing hope and care for children. The design is child-friendly and incorporates features that improve accessibility, safety, and comfort, such as child-sized facilities, playful signage, and recreational areas.

The campus will also include a rooftop helipad for emergency transfers and designated drone logistics stations for medical transport.

Upon completion, the new campus is expected to significantly improve regional pediatric healthcare capacity and optimize the allocation of medical resources for children, providing more accessible, child-friendly, and higher-quality medical services.
