Jinan-based Qilu Pharmaceutical Group signed an on-site agreement with Singapore's agribusiness Wilmar International on the opening day of the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Nov 5.

The purchase order, valued at $42 million, is the first deal secured by the Shandong delegation at this year's CIIE. This year, nearly 596 companies from Jinan are attending the expo, seeking broader cooperation opportunities.

This eighth edition, which will run until Nov 10, has an exhibition area of 367,000 square meters and draws participants from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, featuring more than 4,100 overseas enterprises. The exhibition has become a major platform for promoting global trade and collaboration.

Qilu Pharmaceutical Group, a leader in Jinan's pharmaceutical sector, has participated in the CIIE for seven consecutive years. It has established robust strategic partnerships with numerous Fortune Global 500 companies through this platform.
