Jinan is making big strides in preserving its cultural heritage while embracing innovation. Recent initiatives, such as the "Explore Jinan through National Treasures" event and the opening of Rumengling Song poem-themed park, underscore the city's efforts to bring culture to life.

The event features five themed routes that guide visitors to cultural landmarks throughout the city. Rumengling brings the poetic world of the Song Dynasty (960-1279) to life, offering an immersive experience through interactive performances and activities focused on the renowned poet Li Qingzhao (1084-1155).

Jinan also offers many cultural tourism destinations, including Mingshui Ancient Town, Jinan Sunac Resort, and Baihuazhou Historical and Cultural Block. These destinations combine heritage and modern leisure, enriching the city's cultural landscape.

As a historical city, Jinan is home to numerous cultural landmarks, including the Chengziya Site, the Great Wall of ancient Qi state, and its famous springs. Jinan boasts 30 national key cultural heritage sites and 176 at the provincial level. The city has one item included in the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, 13 national-level intangible cultural heritage projects, and 132 items at the provincial level.

In recent years, Jinan has focused on the innovation development of traditional Chinese culture. The city has introduced policies to foster cultural growth, including financial support and talent development programs. To protect cultural heritage, the government conducts archaeological surveys before any urban development. Through partnerships with local businesses, Jinan is transforming cultural heritage into creative products, vitalizing its historical assets.

The city has established 60 Quancheng Study locations and engages with the public through a variety of performances and activities. Digital technology is being used to create online platforms and digital museums, making culture more accessible and appealing to a broader audience.
