The Jinan Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot free Trade Zone achieved significant progress in 2024, attracting 15,000 new businesses and $580 million in foreign investment.

The region put more focus on institutional innovation and project development. Last year saw over 90 institutional innovation achievements, 14 of which were promoted across the province.

The area implemented key initiatives in institutional innovation, industrial development, business environment improvement, and collaborative innovation, boosting the city’s outward-oriented economy and strengthening its role as a reform leader.

In 2025, the area plans to accelerate the integration of innovation and industrial chains, with a focus on technological innovation and the development of industries such as biomedicine, financial services, and cultural industries.

The zone will also continue to enhance its business environment, reduce costs for enterprises, and drive industry growth.
