Seventeen-year-old Ma Qianke from Jinan, alongside her partner Zhang Yifan, claimed the gold medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team final at the 2025 Shooting World Cup in Argentina on April 10.

The duo triumphed with a thrilling 16-10 victory over their opponents, securing the top spot on the podium.

Ma began shooting in elementary school. She attributes her success in part to the early training, which not only taught her technical skills but also helped build her mental resilience, according to Ma.

In addition to her recent success, Ma made an impressive debut earlier this year by winning the women's 10-meter air pistol title at the National Pistol and Rifle Shooting Team Selection.
