A magnitude 7.9 earthquake struck near the central city of Mandalay, Myanmar, at around 12:50 pm on March 28. Afterward, Jinan truck manufacturer Sinotruk quickly gathered a batch of relief materials to aid in disaster response efforts.
On April 1, two trucks loaded with 40 metric tons of earthquake relief supplies departed from Yangon, Myanmar, to Mandalay and Naypyidaw, two regions severely impacted by the earthquake.
The donation aims to provide emergency livelihood support for the people in the earthquake-stricken areas of Myanmar, especially urgently needed medicines, mosquito nets, lighting equipment, food, and drinking water for the affected people.
The donated materials will be delivered to the disaster area by the staff of the Sinotruk Representative Office in Myanmar and Myanmar partners and will be distributed to the affected people as soon as possible.
Sinotruk has been committed to actively fulfilling its social responsibilities and supporting disaster relief and public welfare undertakings in countries and regions around the world, including Myanmar. It will continue to closely follow the disaster relief and recovery situation in the earthquake-stricken areas of Myanmar and ensure that the necessary support is provided to the affected people.
