Jinan's China-Europe rail link operates smoothly in Q1
In the first quarter of this year, the China-Europe freight trains from Jinan operated smoothly with a steady increase in the number of trips, demonstrating strong growth momentum and acting as a reliable international logistics channel.
According to Jinan Customs, a total of 190 trains carried 15,496 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), representing year-on-year increases of 6.2 percent and 5.8 percent, respectively.
To support China-Europe freight trains, Jinan Customs, along with other port customs, is developing Shandong's inland multimodal logistics network. Integrated supervision plans connecting land, sea, and rail transport have been created, and an enhanced fast-track rail clearance system is being promoted.
The Jinan China-Europe freight train currently runs 14 routes, connecting 56 cities across 24 Belt and Road countries. More than 3,500 foreign trade companies in the province use the railway for their imports and exports.
