Upgraded exhibition center unveiled, boosting cultural exports
The upgraded National Cultural Export Base Exhibition Center in the Jinan Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone opened on June 10.
The renewed center highlights the rich cultural heritages of Jinan, Shandong, and the civilizations of the Yellow River basin by integrating innovative digital techniques. It has already attracted a range of enterprises in traditional crafts, creative design, beauty and animation, and time-honored brands.
At the opening ceremony, a strategic alliance of over 90 leading cultural enterprises was established with the support of the National Cultural Export Base. The alliance will leverage the region's advantageous policies to promote resource sharing, further expand into international markets, and facilitate global outreach.
The cultural base signed agreements with local universities for industry-university-research cooperation and the establishment of an education practice center.
A new copyright service station was launched to support rights protection and commercialization for cultural businesses.
The National Cultural Export Base in the Jinan FTZ was approved by the Ministry of Commerce in 2021, and since then, the region has been actively encouraging local cultural enterprises to enter the global market.
Moving forward, Jinan plans to use the opportunities from the Belt and Road Initiative and its position as a "Culture City of East Asia" to explore innovative ways of cultural exports by combining culture with technology and trade, to strengthen its role in global cultural exchange.
