Jinan — located in East China's Shandong province and known far and wide as the "City of Springs" — has upgraded its flagship boat performance on Daming Lake, a must-see tourist attraction in the city.

The revamp is bringing a cultural feast to both locals and tourists and injecting fresh vitality into the growth of the nighttime economy.

As night comes, a boat adorned with lotus flowers, leaves and the images of a mountain range glides slowly on Daming Lake, with dancers gracefully swaying to music, creating a picturesque and poetic ambiance.

The upgraded boat performance is not only a treat for the eyes and ears, but is also a tribute to the rich cultural history of Jinan. The entire performance is staged against the backdrop of the beautiful lake — combining dance, poetry and ancient music.

The boat performance is a standout event among the night tours in Jinan. It provides a moving experience for spectators and raises the profile of the city's night tour brand.

The boat departs from the North Gate Pier of Daming Lake every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening at 7:40 pm, starting from June 27 and cruises around the lake.

It passes by such landmarks as Shuixi Bridge, Chaoran Tower and Nanfeng Bridge and returns to the starting point, in a trip taking around 40 minutes.

The boat performance will launch themed shows linked to different seasons or festivals and adjust performance schedules flexibly based on demand during the peak and off-peak tourism seasons and holidays.
