With the start of the summer travel peak season for the country's civil aviation sector on July 1, Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport — located in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province — has acted to boost its services for domestic and international travel.

From July through to August 31, the airport plans to operate 28,000 flights, expecting to serve 3.98 million passengers, with a daily average of 64,000 travelers.

To meet the sustained high market demand, Jinan airport has actively coordinated with airlines — optimizing the layout of flight networks, integrating flight resources and increasing capacity to facilitate efficient and convenient travel for passengers.

Moreover, it's introduced new routes to some destinations while increasing the frequency of flights on some other routes.

In terms of international and regional routes, Jinan airport continues to expand its presence in the Japanese, South Korean and Southeast Asian aviation markets.

It's also maintaining stable operations for flights to Seoul, Osaka, Singapore, Bangkok, Nha Trang, Sydney and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. There will be 35 weekly flights to Japan and South Korea, with Hong Kong flights increased to 10 per week.

To ensure an excellent service for passengers, Jinan airport has tailored a series of efficient and convenient service measures, focusing on the characteristics of summer travel and the needs of various passenger groups — including families, group travelers, special passenger groups and student passengers.

Building on the initiatives, it's continuing to promote the integration of air travel and tourism development. What's more, it's collaborating with tourist attractions to meet the diverse service needs of transit passengers in terms of dining, accommodation, transportation and sightseeing.
