Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, is setting its sights on becoming a year-round tourism hotspot, launching new initiatives to invigorate the local economy and showcase its rich culture and vibrant nightlife.

Jinan officials unveiled a "summer carnival season" on July 24, featuring night tours, entertainment, and culinary delights for both locals and tourists. A key highlight is the Beer Music Carnival in the Jinan Innovation Zone, which combines a lively beer festival with cultural exhibitions and a festive fair. Meanwhile, the Huanlian Night Market, famous for its fusion of folk culture, food, and shopping, draws over 60,000 visitors daily.

Beyond its nightlife offerings, Jinan is also enhancing the overall visitor experience by increasing the length of stays. This year, the city introduced a new "15-Minute City Tour" package that encourages tourists to explore Jinan's hotels and guesthouses while conveniently enjoying the city's best sites. In addition to the summer activities, Jinan is rolling out seasonal events with varying themes to cater to visitors throughout the year, ensuring that there is always something new to experience.

During national holidays, the city has consistently ranked among the top domestic destinations, attracting large crowds during festivals like Qingming and Dragon Boat Festival. The city is also expanding its international appeal by promoting its tourism brand across Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea. Jinan has participated in major tourism exhibitions in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia in its efforts to reach global visitors.

With these new initiatives aimed at both local and international markets, Jinan is solidifying its reputation as a vibrant cultural and tourism hub and is set to attract travelers year-round.
