Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, will be featured at Expo 2025 Osaka on July 30 as part of a dedicated cultural and economic program within the China Pavillion. Themed around the city's renowned spring culture, the event will highlight Jinan's development in nature, culture, and technology.

Activities of "Jinan Day" will include exhibitions, traditional performances, cultural demonstrations, and a livestream show. An interactive digital beluga whale, powered by motion-sensing technology, will offer a glimpse into Jinan's innovation and creativity.

Historically shaped by its many natural springs, Jinan is often referred to as the "City of Springs". At the Osaka Expo, the city of Jinan is focusing on both its cultural identity and forward-looking development.

In addition to cultural programming, a business forum will facilitate dialogue between Jinan and Japanese enterprises, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.

"Jinan Day" serves as a platform to communicate the city's openness, industrial capabilities, and cultural heritage to an international audience. It reflects broader efforts to promote international engagement and regional collaboration.
