SICC, based in Huaiyin district, Jinan, Shandong province, was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) on Aug 20, becoming the first Silicon Carbide (SiC) substrate company with dual listings on the A-share market and HKSE.

The company is among the few capable of mass production of SiC substrates, having pioneered the commercial production of substrates from two to eight inches and rolled out 12-inch substrates ahead of its peers.

In 2024, SICC was the world's second largest SiC substrate producer, holding a 22.8 percent global market share. It is also expanding into emerging markets such as AI data centers and AR glasses, cooperating with tech giants like NVIDIA.

The HKSE listing marked a major step forward in the company's global expansion, with raised funds earmarked for the expansion of the international market and advancing R&D, according to a statement by the company.

In recent years, Huaiyin district has accelerated the development of its semiconductor industry, attracting over 50 companies in the field, led by SICC, and fostering a complete industrial chain. Meanwhile, the district has established a 100-million-yuan ($13.9 million) guidance fund and developed science and innovation platforms to support technological breakthroughs.

In the future, Huaiyin will continue to advance the semiconductor industry, optimize its industry layout and support enterprise expansion and new project implementation.
