Sam's Club opened its first store in Jinan on May 15, giving a big boost to Jinan's premium retail sector. The new store offers about 24,100 square meters of retail space and nearly 4,000 products sourced globally.

To celebrate its opening, the store introduced several products tailored to local tastes, including the Jinan-exclusive Bazirou braised pork, which quickly gained popularity among shoppers.

Sam's Club, known for its strict site-selection criteria, typically targets cities with strong consumption capacity, a large population, and a growing demand for premium retail services. The expansion into Jinan reflects the city's rising consumer market and demand for premium retail experiences.

The project also highlighted Jinan's improving business environment and efficient project execution. From the signing of the agreement in September 2024 to project completion in April 2026, the store was completed in less than two years.

The opening aligns with Jinan's broader efforts to expand high-quality retail offerings and strengthen its role as a regional retail hub. By attracting internationally recognized retail brands, the city continues to build on its diverse and high-quality retail ecosystem.
