The Ninth China (Jinan) New Growth Drivers Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest has begun. It is strengthening Jinan's role as a platform for attracting global talent, technology, and innovation resources.

Building on the experience of the previous eight editions, this year's contest focuses on Jinan's key industrial priorities and has five major sectors and six specialized tracks, covering areas such as electronic information, quantum technology, aerospace, and the low-altitude economy.

To expand its international reach, the competition has set up 16 preliminary divisions worldwide, including overseas locations in Hungary, Germany, and Singapore, as well as domestic divisions in major innovation hubs such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. Registration will run from May to early June, followed by preliminary and semi-final rounds, and the final competition in Jinan this October.

The contest emphasizes full-cycle support covering project attraction, implementation, and long-term development. In addition to 20 first prizes and 80 other awards, Jinan will provide comprehensive policy and resource support to help participating projects establish, grow, and expand in the city, further reducing barriers for innovation and entrepreneurship.
