Jinan saw a strong tourism surge during the Qingming Festival holiday, driven by more than 100 cultural events across the city. Thirty key monitored scenic spots received over 1.79 million visitors, up 3.76 percent year-on-year, while total revenue rose 3.79 percent to over 52.08 million yuan ($7.57 million).

Spring blossoms remained the season's biggest attraction. At the World's Best Spring Scenic Area, the Huazhao Festival drew large crowds with traditional "flower goddess" parades and folk performances. Cherry blossoms at Wulongtan Park and sweeping forsythia fields at Lianhua Mountain added to the vibrant spring landscape, with people flocking to see the stunning natural scenery on offer.

Immersive experiences and night tours also became highlights of the holiday. Scenic spots hosted a wide range of offerings, from hands-on workshops and themed fairs to live music performances and family-friendly activities. Innovative cultural productions, such as the interactive drama Master at Nanfeng Theater, proved particularly popular among younger audiences. Meanwhile, the night tour at Baotu Spring scenic area used advanced lighting and sound technology to transform the historic springs into a dynamic visual spectacle.

Rural getaways and cultural experiences also gained traction. Visitors flocked to the countryside for activities such as tea tasting, cherry picking and traditional farming experiences. At the same time, the city's museums and libraries launched themed exhibitions during the holiday, drawing large numbers of visitors eager to explore local history and culture.
